Tucker is 4!!!!!

We have had a big week! Tucker had his field trip with his class to the zoo (I will post pictures soon of that). I had two of my children in my class graduate, This is the first group that I have the whole time in my class. Last year I only had the children for a year, these have been in my class for two years. The most exciting thing that happened this week is that Tucker turned 4. I can't believe it! He is getting so big.

At age 4 he loves:
Dinosaurs
Star wars
Remote controlled cars
playing in the back yard
Jumping on the trampoline
Going for walks in the park
Slides
Dragons
Workbooks (all coloring books are workbooks)
apples
corn on the cob
my birthday party
Mommy and Daddy
Striped Jello
soda
and about a million other things.

I don't like:
Water on my head
taking naps (even if I still need them)

For his birthday he got to pick out his breakfast

Took striped Jello to school to share with his friends

Had his friends sing happy birthday to him

and in general had fun!

Sorry

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to post. No excuse... I just need to make time.

Tucker has been doing great. He loves school (most days)and is learning his letter sounds. He is also working on his counting and 1 to 1 correspondence. We found a new cartoon that he loves. It is Dinosaur Train. He loves trains and dinosaurs so having them both in one show is great! I love it because it has fact about dinosaurs and it is not scary. He is showing great imagination, last night we were sitting at the dinner table and Hunter was using some hot sauce and Tucker made up a life story based on the man on the hot sauce. Here is the picture

The man's name is Howard and he lives in a cave in the bottle. He is 4 years old and he eats bugs but his fav. food is fish. He sleeps on a spider couch and wears spider and monkey clothing. He has blue eyes, his fav. color is black and he fixes peoples cars. He also has to watch our for sharks because they eat him. All we did was ask him a few questions about what he liked and he told us the rest. This all started by him asking who that was on the bottle, Hunter said it was a man and Tucker made up the story. Gotta love kids!

This morning we were cleaning the house and I was cleaning out Tuckers Kaleidoscope bag. Kaleidoscope is a place down town that is a children's art place. It is free and they get to take whatever they make home. It is a lot of fun and who can beat free (Kathy had to stop and get more gummy rats and eat at the train place). As I was cleaning out the bags Tucker found a bow and decided that it needed to go on his head. I know in 10 years he will hate this picture, but right now he thinks it is funny.

I will get better about putting up pictures. Even if I just post a picture. Brooke I love your photo blog!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Halloween

Hello all,
I am sorry I have not updated this in awhile. Here are a few pictures. First is Tucker asleep on the couch. We came home after
church one Sunday and were running over to my Mom's for dinner in one hour. We didn't try to get Tucker to take a nap, he has been having a hard time on the weekends napping. We figured by the time we got him asleep it would be time to go to Mom's. We turned on Tom and Jerry for him (Ever since Caleb was here he has wanted to watch that a lot. I know it has been months but he loves it.) and he fell asleep.

Next is Halloween. Tucker told us about a month ago that he wanted to be superman for Halloween. He kept saying the same thing over and over again. I don't remember ever talking about superman or ever seeing a cartoon but he knew who he was and could pick out the superman costume from all of the other costumes.

I went out and bought him the 30 dollar costume with the built up chest. I was so excited to have him put it on and I figured that he would never want to take it off. He hated it! He would not even put it on. he was scared of it. He liked the cape and wanted to keep that, but wanted nothing to do with the costume. The next day I went to Old Navy and found a superman shirt. He loved it. I returned the costume and he was happy as could be. I was going to make him a cape but one of the girls that I work with said that she had a cape and that he could use it. It was great!
The hair is another story. We decided that Superman could not have blond hair and got some of the spray hair color. It took 2 times of going over it to get it dark and it rubbed off on everything. We had a black bathtub ring from the color. At the end of the night it was all over his face and he looked like he had been rolling in the mud.

Smiling happy Superman! He had a great night and was so tired. I was so grateful that it was daylight savings time so we had an extra hour to sleep in.
We hope you all had a great Halloween! Love to all Hunter, Brooke and Tucker

Zoo part 2

The monkeys were so funny! They kept holding there hands out for people to throw food out for them. This on actually took an animal cracker out of the water before the fish could get it. The koi were amazing! There were thousands of them.

Tucker and his elephant!

I loved this picture of the gorilla feet. It was in a tunnel that went over our walkway, it just looked like he was relaxing!
One of the trainers came out and was giving the big cats there meds in balls of meat. The cats loved it.
Love to all !

Omaha Zoo

Hello all
We went to the zoo in Omaha this weekend. It was the best zoo that I have been to. We left on Friday after work and came home on Sunday afternoon. It was a short drive and we stayed in a great hotel (thanks again Stacy). We spent the whole day there, we got there right when it opened at 8:30 and stayed until 4:00. It was a long fun day. There is a lot to be said about getting there early and beating the crowd. We did the aquarium and the bug house first thing we walked right thought with out a line and lots of room to stop and look. When we were walking back by at 3:30 to see the aquarium again the line to get in was out the door! Tucker wanted to go again but we didn't want to wait in line. We got in the car and he was asleep in two minutes!

When Tucker gets scared he covers his ears. Here the shark is swimming over the top of the tank. They had a tank that had sharks, stingrays, and all sorts of other fish that you actually walked through the center. It was about 30 feet long and10 feet wide. It was so cool! I should have gotten a picture of the walkway.

This was a big cylinder tank, so cool!

This was I think the coolest fish, it is a leafy sea dragon. Love it!
If you ask Tucker what his favorite animal at the zoo he will tell you a elephant, and his favorite part of the zoo was the train ride. We had so much fun and will have to go again soon . I will put more pictures up of the zoo.
Love to all! Hunter, Brooke and Tucker
